It is also known as MPEG-4 Part 10, or AVC (for Advanced Video Coding).
I use coreAAC but there are other free open source versions available. It is growing in popularity among movie/tv forums. Smaller filesize better quality. Normally, it will be in the form of a Matroska file (.mkv), which is simple a container format and really, any type of movie/sound file can be contained within it. This might be the first time I've seen it as an .avi formatted file.
Some versions of WMP may not play it properly, you'll have to use something like BSplayer, VLCplayer, etc. Also, depending on what player you use, you may need a Matroski splitter like Halli. I run BSplayer with CoreAAC and the Halli Matroska Splitter and have been able to play every H264 I've come across with BSplayer or WMP9 until this one...BSplayer works, so does VLCplayer but not WMP....this version of H264 used is an odd one.
NOTE FOR sweet_human: when you post vids with this codec, you need to make it very clear in your post that that is the codec being used/format used and that something besides WMP might be needed. Since it is not a common format for adult content, it is proper to let potential downloaders know but moreover, because it is an odd H264 codec being used for encoding.
Finally, all that aside...it is a very nice indian amateur vid.
